Comprising two musical idiot savants from Austin Texas Best Fwends make heavily punk-influenced spazzy-electro-pop, however the band themselves claim to not be talented enough to have a 'sound'.
Recorded during their most severe periods of sleep deprivation using a cheap computer and anything else that happens to be lying around, Best Fwends grabbed the attention of the Moshi Moshi label who released the 2007 album 'Alphabetically Arranged', not to mention Bacardi who used Best Fwends first ever bedroom recording for their 2006 television commercial. Following the "we don't need a stage" ethic of The Death Set, Lightning Bolt and the Coachwhips, Best Fwends can be found in basements the world over wearing nothing but their underwear and screaming in the faces of unsuspecting teenagers.

Following on from the debut ‘Alphabetically Arranged’ album on Moshi Moshi comes the new demented punk masterpiece ‘Hail’ by Best Fwends. Their cover art for the split 7” is made up of old metal fonts (a prize if you can get them all), our personal favourite is the use of the Fear Factory logo for the ‘f’ of fwends, amazing!
The third volume in our series of limited edition split 7" records is a much heavier affair and brings together four of the most exciting contemporary DIY punk bands on the planet! Each volume is built around a loose musical theme with four artists that share a similar ethos in their approach to music construction. Limited to just 450 copies worldwide with reversible gatefold sleeves, inserts, and one-inch badges designed by the bands involved.
**OIB Records webstore exclusive: The first 50 copies come with an exclusive set of all four one-inch badge designs as opposed to the single one with the retail copies.
